Dr. Bob Sexton attended Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis and received his graduate degree in dentistry from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1972. He completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1975. Directly after completing his residency he worked briefly with an area oral surgeon before venturing out on his own to establish what is now known as Avon Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He moved the practice from its downtown Indianapolis location to Avon in 1981. While establishing the practice, he was also an assistant professor at Indiana University School of Dentistry and continued teaching for approximately ten years.
Dr. Sexton enjoys volunteering his time to assist in humanitarian projects when possible. Through Ambassadors for Children, he traveled to Cuba several times to provide assistance and medical supplies to the Cuban people.
In 1985 Dr. Sexton also participated in a mission sponsored by Depauw University, when he traveled to Africa to provide oral surgery to adults and children in Kenya.
Dr. Sexton is on staff at Hendricks Community Hospital and Clarian. He belongs to many professional organizations including:

Dr. Sexton was raised in the Indianapolis area and resides in Brownsburg with his wife and daughter. He enjoys playing golf and fishing and traveling. |
