Dr. Shelton completed his undergraduate education at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky.
He then earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, graduating with honors.
Medical Degree and Oral Surgery Residency
Dr. Shelton continued his education through the University of Kentucky’s integrated oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program. During this six-year hospital-based program, he earned his medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, graduating with honors.
He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Kentucky. His comprehensive training included inpatient and outpatient surgery, anesthesia, dental implant surgery, dentoalveolar surgery, facial trauma care, and the treatment of conditions affecting the jaws and facial structures.
After completing his residency in 2017, Dr. Shelton moved to Indiana and joined Avon Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
